About the Diocesan Fund External ID

This article provides information and steps to locate the Fund External ID within the system.

The external ID is an optional additional attribute that can be set on funds and is displayed within the system. This alphanumeric ID is used for some exports into other Church Management Programs or Accounting Software. To support diocesan data exports, the diocese needs to set an additional ID value on funds separate from the fund number.  For ParishSoft DDM this ID is the appeal id and is required for the diocese exports.

The External ID is located, and can be set or edited, on parish or diocesan accounts on the Giving Settings card. The Giving Administrator can set the External ID while creating an internal or external fund with the fund wizard. The External ID is also displayed and can be edited from the fund detail card.
